我们很高兴能在此与各位分享，启明星双语学校即将推出每月一次的“灵感一小时”系列分享会，邀请启明星社区大家庭乃至各位读者朋友，与启明星的校长们共度头脑激荡的一小时。在这个系列活动中，各学部校长们将就大家关心的、贴近当下的教育话题，分享他们的观点和理念，希望可以尽己所能地帮助您获得一些切实可行的建议，以更好地支持孩子的成长。

此系列分享会将从3月23日周一启动。每次分享会将以中英双语进行，请您查阅下方详情，欢迎您报名参加。

关于主讲人

 

Kari King深爱她的学生们以及她所服务的社区。她在教育行业有着15年的丰富工作经验。她在美国北卡罗来纳州的公立学校开启执教生涯，之后在国际学校执教多年。她拥有中小学音乐教育专业学士学位，曾担任小学音乐教师、PYP课程协调员和小学部校长。她在工作中热衷于探究教育和合作式学习。

关于主讲人

 

李姝来自中国，持有教育学硕士学位，以及美国蒙台梭利协会的认证资格和导师资格。她拥有超过15年的幼儿园教育和管理经验，同时也是一名备受欢迎的教师、AMS培训师、学员实习主管。她对蒙台梭利教育充满激情，喜欢和老师们一起工作，加深彼此对蒙台梭利课程的理解并实施蒙台梭利课程，确保为教师和家长提供必要的支持。

良好的自我管理能力对于学生的成长和进步是非常重要的。本期分享会将带领家长们了解如何帮助孩子发展自我管理技能。

关于主讲人

 

Dieu-Anh Nguyen拥有超过25年的专业教育经验。她曾担任阿联酋某学校的K-12管理者，为美国不同规模和学生群体的学校提供专业的咨询服务，也曾担任班级老师以及小学、中学和政府的管理人员。Dieu-Anh拥有特殊教育和西班牙语方向的教育学学士学位、教育管理硕士学位，以及美国K-12校长资格认证。

主讲人: Daniel Williams  启明星双语学校北皋校区 初高中部校长

科技本身是很了不起的，但是如果使用不当，反而会对我们造成损害。我们身处被各种科技设备环绕的时代环境，生活中都离不开笔记本电脑、平板电脑、手机、游戏机等等。本期分享会将为您讲解，家庭如何打造安全平衡的科技氛围， 恰当使用科技设备，让其更好地为我们服务。

关于主讲人

 

Daniel Williams来自威尔士，于2010年来到中国。他曾在苏州的国际学校工作了9年多，担任物理老师及学校领导。他在IB DP、IB MYP和A Levels拥有丰富的教学及管理经验。他拥有物理学学士学位，应用教育领导力和管理硕士学位，数字技术、通信和教育硕士学位，并于2016年开始攻读巴斯大学国际教育博士学位。

Daystar Academy is excited to debut our "Inspiration Hour" for the Daystar and Bejing community! Once a month, our principals will be sharing with the community their keen insights on relevant and timely topics, with the hope of supporting you as best as we can, and providing you with key takeaways.

Supporting Literacy at Home

Presenter: Kari King, Elementary Principal, Sanlitun Campus

Come join us to discuss how to create a literacy rich environment at home and how to support your child in building a love of literacy that will last a lifetime.

About the presenter

 

Kari King is passionate about her students and her community. She has 15 years of experience in education, beginning her career in public education in North Carolina and spending the past 12 years in international education. Kari received her bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University in K-12 Education: Music. She began as a primary music teacher and has served as the Head of Primary and PYP coordinator internationally, where she cultivated her passion for inquiry-based education and collaborative learning.

How to Value your Child’s Work and Give Support

Presenter: Suly Li, Early Learning Center Principal

It’s easy to say “wonderful” or “great job” when your three-year old child shares with you his/her work.  But is there more that you can say? Is there more than you can do to support your child? The answer is “yes!” Find out how in this “Inspiration Hour”!

About the presenter

 

Suly Li is from China. She has a Master’s degree in education from Australia and is AMS certified. She has more than 15 years of early childhood education and management experience, and is also a popular teacher, AMS trainer, AMS practicum coordinator. She is passionate about Montessori education, working with teachers to deepen their understanding and implementation of the Montessori curriculum and ensuring parents have the support needed to extend the Montessori philosophy and practices at home.

Helping Your Child Build Agency

Presenter: Dieu-Anh Nguyen, Elementary Principal, Beigao Campus

This session highlights the importance of having agency/self-efficacy when it comes to student progress and achievement.  Parents will learn about strategies that will help their children build self-management skills.

About the presenter

 

Dieu-Anh Nguyen brings more than twenty-five years of experience as a professional educator. Dieu-Anh previously worked in the United Arab Emirates, provided technical assistance for schools of varying sizes and demographics throughout the United States as a consultant, and was a classroom teacher and an administrator at the primary, secondary, and government levels. Dieu-Anh holds a BA in Education with concentrations in Special Education and Spanish, an MA Ed. in School Leadership, and a K-12 principal license from the United States.

Unlocking the Potential of Technology

Presenter: Daniel Williams, Secondary Principal, Beigao Campus

Technology is a wonder. But if not used wisely, it can be harmful. Surrounded by multiple electronic devices (laptops, tablets, mobile phones, game consoles etc.), find out how you, as a family, can ensure safe and balanced use of technology at home and beyond. 

About the presenter

 

Daniel Williams is from Wales and came to China in 2010. He spent nine years working in international schools in Suzhou as aphysics teacher and a school leader. He has considerable experience in the IB DP,IB MYP and A Levels as both a teacher and leader. He holds a BA in Physics from the University of Swansea, a Masters in Applied Education Leadership and Management from the UCL-Institute of Education and another Masters in Digital Technologies, Communications and Education from the University of Manchester. In 2016, Daniel began his Doctorate Degree in International Education at the University of Bath.
